Dr Edward Ohlrich graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons). He worked as a Dental Officer in the Australian Army before completing a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Perio) from The University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2010.
He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Perio) and a member of the Australian Dental Association, Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, and Australian Society of Periodontics (ASP). He is a past president of the ASP Queensland branch.
Dr Ohlrich has been a clinical instructor at the University of Otago and University of Queensland and has been an examiner at Griffith University. He has maintained his own full-time private practice since 2011.

Outside of work, Dr Ohlrich enjoys being outdoors and taking walks on the beach with his family.
